Mariana’s Delicious Tuna Sandwich

Mariana Del Valle, a Production Supervisor at TransPak for 2 years. Watch as she takes the time to share her take on a classic tuna sandwich. A quick prep meal that's perfect for a satisfying lunch!


Ingredients:
– 1 can of tuna
– 1/2 can of sliced olives
– 1/2 can of corn
– 1/2 white onion, chopped
– 1/2 lettuce, chopped
– 1/2 avocado, sliced (optional)
– 5-6 scoops of mayonnaise
– 12-grain loaf of bread (or bread of choice)

Instructions:
1. Prep your ingredients: Chop the onion and lettuce, and slice the avocado(if using) to your preferred size. Once all the ingredients are chopped and sliced, set aside.
2. Drain the tuna: Open the can of tuna and drain all the excess water. Transfer the tuna into a medium mixing bowl.
3. Mix the base: In the same mixing bowl, add in the sliced olives, corn, and mayonnaise with the tuna. Stir well until combined.
4. Add in the fresh vegetables: Mix in your chopped onions and lettuce until everything is evenly combined and set your mixture aside.
5. Toast the bread: Toast 2 slices of bread to your liking.
6. Assemble the sandwich: Spread the tuna mixture evenly onto one slice of toasted bread.
7. Optional – Add avocado: Mariana likes to add in avocado slices for extra flavor and nutrients!
8. Top with the second slice of bread, cut the sandwich in half and enjoy!
